Steve Schultz started an Environment group called EcoVision where students have led projects such as installing solar energy, building a energy efficient geodesic greenhouse and running an urban beekeeping program. EcoVision has been recognized for their projects with awards such as the Emeralds and greenest school in Canada.

Steven has coached and mentored VEX, FIRST and SKILLS robotics teams for over 15 years.  Over the past three years, Steve and the United Robotics of Lacombe (URL) club have successfully mentored 8 First Lego League(FLL) teams at the elementary and junior high schools in Lacombe and 2 First Tech Challenge teams in central Alberta . URL continues to look at ways to expand Robotics in Lacombe and Central Alberta. 

Steve has also taught Agriculture, Beekeeping and Electrotechnology courses for the past 12 years.  Currently, he is working with Olds College , Red Deer College and Alberta Distance Learning to create dual credit programs at the high school and post secondary level.
