Angie completed her Master’s degree in Education (curriculum and design) from Concordia University; she obtained her Bachelor of Music and Education degrees from the University of Calgary. It was there that she gained expertise in Kodály pedagogy, studying under Canadian guru Lois Choksy. During her 22 years career with the Calgary Board of Education, Angie has had a variety of roles and responsibilities: classroom teacher, music specialist, school-based Learning Leader and AISI Area Learning Leader. Angie has had a very busy extra-curricular life, full of song and performances. For 20 years, she conducted both the Calgary Children’s Choir and the Mount Royal Children’s Choir. These auditioned choirs participated in several international choral festivals and tours including: Canada, England, France and Japan. In 2008, Angie spent a humbling 2 months volunteer teaching and studying music in South Africa. Currently, Angie works occasionally as a vocal coach and choral clinician.
