Calm Classroom: Mindfulness & Meditation Techniques for Stressed Out Teachers and Students

AGRIOS MINDFITNESS
Connecting the mind and body through movement and breath
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=R20MxM8rGoc

YOUR MIND FOLLOWS YOUR BREATH. THE KEY TO CONTROLLING YOUR MIND IS CONTROLLING YOUR BREATH.

Tired? Exhausted? Stressed?  That's why Susan, former K-12 school teacher created this workshop for teachers and recorded the Stress Free Zone download.

Take time out to deeply relax your body and mind as Susan guides you through a meditation (yoga nidra, a technique she studied with Yoga Masters in India and in California with Dr. Richard Miller) and teaches you simple and easy to learn meditations some as short as 1-3 minutes in length.  Susan will show you how to integrate these mindfulness and meditation techniques into your daily life and classroom so you won't feel as drained or burnt out by the end of the day and will have a calmer classroom environment.  She will also teach you some quick and simple movement and breath exercises to connect your mind and body.  These exercises are great to help both you and your students refocus or "wake up" when your minds are wandering and you get that tired sleepy feel.  If all else fails just press play on her Stress Free Zone download.

This is a session you definitely don't want to miss as Susan brings these ancient meditation and mindfulness techniques she studied in India, New Mexico and California wtih world renowned Yoga Masters making them easliy accessible to you.

"If you're up for the challenge we will begin day 1 of the 40 day Mindfulness Challenge so you too can join our Mindfulness Movement of over 7000 adults and kids.  I look forward to sharing these meditation and mindfulness techniques with you as  I have seen them change lives.  Hope you can join us!".  Susan =;)

TESTIMONIALS

"Susan Agrios, the incredible woman who inspired me to start mindfulness at Callingwood! School! I began with the basics as you taught us during your time with us...Our principal informed me that a parent of a student in my classroom was truly inspired by her son's ability to practice mindfulness and literally said it has changed his life. She wanted to learn more about it and so our principal passed along to her the mindfulness toolkit that you presented us with...Thank you Susan for all you do to bring peace to our bodies and for sharing that peace with the world! Much respect"
Jennifer Fedor
K-6 School Teacher

"I have had the good fortune of taking the TIME OUT: Mindfulness workshop with Susan on a number occasions. It is so simple to do and has had such an impact on the quality of my life. My relationships within my family and circle of friends have reached new levels since using these techniques consistently.
I have seen my students use meditation to achieve a positive, healthy state of mind before on-stage performance or classroom performance. I have seen anxious students achieve a sense of calm in a hectic day of school. This is a skill that will help them throughout their life".
Jodie Schwartz
Junior High Teacher

“Sue’s Yoga Nidra class was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. As a type-A, over-achiever, I often find it difficult to relax and unwind. It took me a few classes to get the full experience of Yoga Nidra, but once I did it was completely exhilarating. At the end of the class I was glowing like a light bulb! I felt rejuvenated, refreshed and I became a true believer in meditation and how it can benefit my overall well-being.
I teach a Holistic Health Class at Ross Sheppard High School and I have introduced my students to Yoga Nidra.  They find it very relaxing and a perfect break from their hectic schedules. I highly recommend Sue’s class. Her energy is contagious and you will leave the class feeling relaxed and refocused.”

1-11 MINUTES A DAY COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

"As a K-12 school teacher I quickly realized my role was more than just teaching the curriculum...kids were stressed and anxious as young as 7 or 8 years old, many kids in my classroom were labelled ADD or ADHD, unable to focus, concentrate or even sit still, there was bullying, depression, anger issues, insomnia and the list goes on and on. Many of the teachers and parents too were dealing with this. I wanted to do something. I wanted help.  So I developed a TIME OUT Mindfulness Training & kit specifically for teachers, students and parents.  The Mindfulness kit includes mindfulness exercises as well as meditation and mindfulness techniques (3-11minutes) for relaxation, stress reduction, self-regulation, memory, concentration, focus and depression.   It's simple and easy to do.  All you need is you!  Over 1400 teachers, counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, parents, business people, athletes etc. have been trained with the Mindfulness Kits and over 7000 adults and school kids have taken her 40 Day Mindfulness Challenge. Will you be the next?"

With over 2 decades of experience teaching in schools Agrios has a solid understanding of what it's like to be in the classroom. What makes Agrios unique is she is also a fitness trainer, multi-sport gold medallist and world master games record holder in weightlifting, cycling and badminton as well as Level 2 International Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Teacher with advanced training in Yoga Nidra (guided meditation). This combination enables her to skillfully work with both your body and mind.

"During this workshop I will teach you a variety of meditation and mindfulness techniques for both you and your students.  I will show you how you can intergrate this into the classroom to create a calmer more relaxing teaching environment.  In particular I'm super excited to share with you a meditation I was taught by a Yoga Master in India which is backed by research showing more blood flow to the frontal lobe...the area responsible for focus, concentration and memory.  Today we will also begin Day 1 of the 40 Day Mindfulness Challenge so you too can join our Mindfulness Movement of over 7000 adults and kids.  Hope you can join us".

Unlike traditional swimming, cycling and running competitions, this triathlon will focus on three core areas - mind, body and heart. A first of its kind in Canada launched in both Edmonton Catholic and Edmonton Public Schools, the TIME OUT Mindfitness Triathlon incorporates fitness, yoga and meditation as well as a 40-day Mindfulness Challenge.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the mind body connection and learn new skills that will help reduce stress, improve memory and increase concentration. Susan will also talk about how to bring this event to your school.

Created and led by Susan Agrios, CEO and founder of Agrios Mindfitness, former school teacher, highly trained fitness professional as well as multi sport world medalist and record holder in cycling, badminton and weightlifting. A session you won’t want to miss.

TESTIMONIAL

“I first learned of Susan’s TIME OUT Mindfulness project through her video launch at a Simrit concert and thought “How amazing is this!” I loved it!  Seeing and hearing the impact she has made with students and teachers I wanted to experience it first hand and I did….Wow!!  I walked away feeling elated and saying “What just happened?” Clearer, calmer and at the same time excited for the difference this project will make in all our lives, now and in the future.  Susan, you bring an energy into the room that spreads to forever growing roots!  Thank you for the opportunity to experience a space to consciously focus on ME: my breath, my body, moving energy and BEing mindful!”
