Anxiety is plaguing our society, and in children anxiety has many faces. Children who seem to have behavioral concerns, seem shy, or seem op-positional may be dealing with anxiety. This presentation is intended to provide some education on what anxiety looks like in children, so that we can spot it, and then to provide tangible strategies that can be used in the classroom to support those students

This workshop is designed to explore the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder as it appears in the classroom, with a focus on children with high functioning Autism (formerly referred to as Asperger’s Syndrome). Understanding and Managing Children’s Problematic Sexual Behaviour in School Settings
We will present current research on sexual behaviour in children, including guidelines for identifying problematic sexual behaviour and factors contributing to the development of these behaviours. We will address challenges encountered by schools when students exhibit problematic sexual behaviour. We will outline a model for intervening to support all students involved and their families.
